Airfix
Our goal was to create thematic images for the “redbox” releases, of a a 1950’s Mig Jet, and MkIIc Hawker Hurricanes, using the 3D geometry developed by Airfix.
We then created photorealistic CGI imagery of their biggest release in years, the 1/24th Scale DeHavilland Mosquito. We created the imagery of the finished planes, figures and model details (engines, armaments, cockpit) before the parts had even been tooled. The Mosquito was the Airfix flagship product spurning the subsequent release of other large scale plane models.
