The primary objective was to creating a modular hot swappable 128 core processor node which had suitable cooling characteristics, for improved thermal management of the system. We worked closely with our CFD team to ensure we had maximum flow and correct pressure drop rated for the fans.

Once finalised, this led on to the development of a 4U 19” rack system, with a user interface, cooling plenums and an enclosure for the system.
